Apparently at R Williams bookmakers it's 4/1. Not a bad price if you ask me!

Before coming here,he was a lad with potential but not playing many games.
Now he is realizing his potential by playing ever week, give him another 12 months of polishing, and hopefully gets his move up the ladder, good lad, great attitude.
He only needs to look at Kevin Long, same type of player, but a bench warmer and not really playing(although his bank balance is probably ok :) )

Not sure about that, if the money is right we should sell, better cashing in than risk losing him for nothing next season when he is out of contract, as painful as it may be selling our best player we have to make the correct decisions for the club not the individual player

I fully understand what your saying John, but cash in the bank won't guarantee our league survival.
Just offer him a contract extension,and I believe,with more game time,will become a bigger asset,therefore everyone benefits

And why would he sign the extension?? If other higher paying clubs are sniffing around why should he, its a short career and I wouldn't blame anybody for doing what is best for themselves, and this is why the club should do what is best for them, what's he worth? 50k 100k maybe more, and we pickup a couple of free transfers, no brainer in my book

The point F19 is making, I take it, is that what's best for the club is to offer Mr.Aldred an extension to his current contract. Whether Tom accepts it is his decision and he's earned the right to decide what's best for him. If he goes elsewhere, he'll go with the thanks and best wishes of everyone (I'd hope). But the club would surely be better off if he stays for another season.

We had this problem last season with Lee Molyneux . He moved to Crewe to better himself and was a bench warmer .OK he came back to us on loan , but it shows that moves are not always for the better. I would love to have Lee back at Stanley permanent.

Is their any truth in a rumour about Scott Vernon being on James Beatie,s radar,6ft 1in Aberdeen striker.

According to the PFA there are currently 700+ players that are available on free transfers.

Im sure we will be linked with a lot of players.

Been a big lad on trial for a few weeks now but I think he's called Ollie and he appears to be a centre half / midfielder.Beatts has his eye on another half dozen targets but I suppose it depends on the budget.
