Taking a joke is one thing. The club making a joke of itself is quite another.

Now that all of the tickets have sold, there's no doubt that the directors will see this as a big success and vindicating the decision to go ahead with it.

Lighten up chaps , as it was suggested I should when you were kicking one another to death last week :eek:.

The real joke is the way you're all reacting - thought we knew how to take a joke from bitter, milky experience!!

:hidewall::hidewall::hidewall:

Sorry Chimer, the simple fact that this could in fact put future potential sponsers off, is NO Joke to me,

But sponsors like publicity (with certain rape-related exceptions, obviously)! The coverage to date (other than on AccyWeb :mad:) is humorous and affectionate.

I take back what I said before. We've sold them, and have been on the news quite a bit. Reminding people we still exist and that we are held in affection by lots of folk!!

I can just hear the Bury fans on Friday - we've given 'em a ready made comeback to our chant to them 'you all support man.u' . . . . . . . It'll backfire on us as they chant back 'you didn't play man.u' :o

I'd have bought one, but I'm saving my cash to buy a virtual FA Cup Final ticket when we get there.

I was going to mention that Real Madrid game but Macca beat me to it. And speaking of Macca, he has had some great fundraising ideas in the past. A pity that none of these have been acted upon.
