Is this the Stevenage home shirt?

Re: New kit release!

Thank goodness not!!

It's ASFC's home shirt, and as we're the only pro club supplied by Mitre (which is rather strange) it is unique to ASFC:)

Obviously the stripes are in anticipation of the new sponsors:- The Guild of British Barbers:rolleyes:
I too remember a big change to Stanley's traditional red shirt to a white shirt with a single, central red hoop. As Greger said, let's hope the Voodoo Gods of Football are not involved.

Not really!

Cardiff had their colours and tradition trampled on by a rich Malaysian before they won their colours back. But at least he was Rich!

Unlike Cardiff we are at least still in our own colours - they've just been changed around a bit

Yes, promotion and cash still didn't bribe the Cardiff fans. Where is the Stanley equivalent cash one might wonder.

Certainly doesn't look "STANLEY" who did come up with the stripes? Tradition through the window, pity.

Maybe the Accrington can be dropped and juts use Stanley?

Team in red and white stripes normally start with S.

Correct. Perhaps the coalman's got them on the cheap from Sligo.

Yes, but from a spectators distance its as near as dammit the same from the front. A terrible decision by whoever to make it a change of identity without consulting the fans, not just a design detail. Can't think of any other club other than Cardiff with their loony owner which has done this before.

Give it a few games into the season and we're winning games people will get used to it!

Although it's not the all red shirt were used to, at least it's the red and white were used to...I've seen the club make bigger mistakes over the years!
