Chris Eagles. Wasn't he one of Burnley's best players when they won promotion to the Prem' the first time? He's only 30,we usually sign "big names" when they're about 35 and struggle to last 90 minutes. I think/hope he will do a very good job for us!

Eagles was brilliant for Burnley, he joined Bolton along with Coyle but never really hit the heights again. Had a couple of spells with Charlton and Bury but aparently had some personal problems which has halted his career.

Im sure he can still turn it on for us :)

i thought april 1st. had come early when i saw chris eagles signing for us. agree with the others as he was top guy for burnley a few seasons ago. probebly not helped his career signing for bolton in the last few seasons as they are trying their best to copy the blackpool blueprint.

As good as eagles is, I would be surprised if he starts today having only trained with the team once.

Maybe as it's a loan move it wasn't so much about money on his behalf, just the fact he wanted to get out and enjoying his football and at Stanley like many players do enjoy playing!

Maybe dropping down to League 2 he will score a few more goals and be noticed more than he would in League One if Rovers are thinking of offloading him?

hope to see another striker being brought in quickly. too many mid fielders signed and only an injured billy and terry who,s injured now. we got away with it v doncaster with 3 top goals which won,t happen every week. need someone up front to knock in the 5 yard scramble type of goal which we haven,t looked like scoring all season.

Parrish was on the bench after his one game suspension, if Paul White has been released maybe that will give us the option to bring in a short term striker - Billy, although he put everything in his game as per usual was obviously not 100% fit to be on the pitch today, it was obvious from the way he was holding his arm that his shoulder isn't right yet & to play him at less than fully fit is putting him at risk of a more serious injury - imo we really need to be looking at the bigger picture
