Re: The Official Great Grimsby Thread

There should be crash bales around areas known to dangerous. Any player could have sustained a serious head injury sliding into a railing or wall. I have had this discussion with these so called ground safety people who seem to be title collectors. They are a law unto them selves. I am sure there must be a simple way of producing bales that can be stuffed with soft foam in a weather proof bag which could be either hung over railings or simply left against a wall. I don't believe it would cost that much. Maybe a grant from the FA on safety grounds would be helpful. Maybe Wham could make some. Let's ask Andy Holt.

If this discussion has taken place and NOTHING been done, then those responsible are not FIT to be club Safety Officers imho.:(

Defo the steel gate, maybe temp 2" or 4 "thick polystyrene sheets in front of the steel railings would help.

thought all grounds were checked out before we got a safety certificate or is that only for the fans. not having a go at the club but just a genuine thought about tuesdays accident.

Yes all stadiums must pass yearly safety checks before they're even allowed to host matches
