Re: January transfer window.
Rafferty from Rochdale to Preston suggests they have filled the right back slot ?
|
Re: January transfer window.
I was told Preston saw him in a role further forward. However they left their offer on the table and that’s been rejected.

Re: January transfer window.
Anyone know who 2 new signings in Guardian article are?
It reads like they have been done in last couple of days? |
Re: January transfer window.
Smyth from QPR.Some pace up front, Northern Ireland cap.
Sounds promising. |
Re: January transfer window.
Smyth looks like a very useful addition to the squad. I bet Charlton aren't happy with us again, though. They were hopeful of signing him themselves.

Pierro has joined Morecambe until end of season, can only wish a great bloke well.

Re: January transfer window.
Not happy that lose Piero but he needs to be playing & Morecambe need all the help they can get, do they not want Mangan too?

For Pierro; He needs to play regularly to maintain his match fitness and for his own job satisfaction.:) For Stanley; If we have an injury crisis then a fit Pierro can be recalled knowing that he will slot in really effectively.:mosher: |
Re: January transfer window.
unless the window is "open" or the player is a goalkeeper, players can't be re-called from standard loans;
Sepp Blatter at his finest !! |
Re: January transfer window.
Good luck to Piero but, for Stanley, what a waste of a proven talent to have had him sitting on his backside for most of the season, and now no longer available if suspensions/injuries occur.
We all know Piero would never get picked before McConville but one thing that appears to be different this season is how less effective has been Jordan Clark. Before various interested parties rush to criticise, I rate Clark as probably Stanley’s best player, but this season, whether it’s a slight dip in his form or closer attention from opponents, he hasn’t appeared to have had as much impact as he did last year. Maybe i’m wrong and some stat-freak can prove it. But, when Piero re-signed, I assumed it was because either Clark would be leaving this month or that they’d be used as a pair, one coming one as a sub if goals were not forthcoming from the other. I’m very surprised that there do not appear to have been any offers for Clark this month, but wonder if that actually does confirm my impression. Anyway, seems sad that Stanley can’t accommodate at the same time two of the best attacking players they’ve had. |
