Bristol Rovers thread
With the two new lads unavailable and five ourt injured will probably be same 18 could this be time for fresh legs of the bench with three games in eight days my choice:-
Baxter. Barclay. Hughes. Nottingham. Rodgers. Pritchard. Conneelly. Butcher. Uwakawe. Charles. Smyth. Subs:-. Savin. Burgess. Bishop. McConville. Russell. Scully. Fenlon. |
Re: Bristol Rovers thread
that side looks ok to me.

I wouldn't play Dion alongside Paul.
Their instincts are too similar. |

What's the weather like up there ? Do I invest me tenner or are you likely to be under a ton of snow - weather map a bit vague.
|
Re: Bristol Rovers thread
Would play Colby personally, but do agree we need to change things....
Bringing Smyth on with 30 to go and being 3 goals to the good will be a better option ;) :) :) :) |

Is there a point where if the game was abandoned, and 'X' minutes had been played,
does the score at the time stand as the official result? |

Re: Bristol Rovers thread
Well that was a roller coaster ! Should be 7-4 !!!
Coly needs to be sensible now. Get Nottingham off for Burgess if hes got a knock. Get Sean off to save himself. Could easily gave been sent off. Get Rodgers on. No need to chase anything now. Tight compact and on to the next one. |
Re: Bristol Rovers thread
What a good game including Bristol Rovers part in it Baxter saving 2 sure goals blow losing Butcher hopefully just tweaked a hamstring or muscle maybe being cautious with conditions, a night maybe when we see more subs.
|
Re: Bristol Rovers thread
Can we all chip in and buy the camera person an umbrella?
Otherwise, great show in atrocious conditions. Agree with 28, tighten up where possible. |

Re: Bristol Rovers thread
What a night to remember!
They say revenge is a dish best served cold. That was surely sweet revenge for the 2016 season, when they leapfrogged us into L1 on the very last day. This is no dream! THIS IS REALLY HAPPENING! eee'aye eee'aye eee'aye oh! Up the football league we go! |

The 4th Stanley goal looked an O.G. although the camera was shocking. Not sure if they were congratulating both Sean and Bishop just in case.
|
Re: Bristol Rovers thread
Superb display. Hats off to the ref for going ahead, and to all the snow shovelers.
Well done to the whole squad and coaching staff. Hope no serious injuries to Butcher and Notts. Gotta keep that pressure on starting places. |
Re: Bristol Rovers thread
Well, that was rubbish - could've kept a clean sheet lads & another couple of goals & we'd have gone above Sunderland!! :D . . . . . . . :hidewall:

Re: Bristol Rovers thread
Well that was a great birthday present for my sixty ninth tomorrow!:thankya:
6-1 v Brizzle City..........Just brilliant!:theband: Thank you very much to the whole team and to all of the management and staff from both clubs who helped Buzzer to get the pitch ready and to the referee for his patience.:mosher::mosher::mosher::mosher: Some super performances from all of our boys so I am not going to single any one player out! Efficient, hard working and ruthless with only one defensive lapse.:theband: Although it was good to see some of our squad get a second half run out it also highlighted how injuries can possibly cause problems this far into the season. I really hope that Butcher and Nottingham are not seriously injured. A night to remember for all Stanley supporters......:wave8: I just wish that we could have been there in The Wham Stadium celebrating such a good result together!:theband::rose8::signbeer::drink: |
Re: Bristol Rovers thread
Easy choirboy, you have 70 just around the corner, blood pressure is not a good thing.. Best wishes for your birthday, what a present eh.

if we get 9pts from these 3 home games its MAGNIFICENT in my view,we got 3 last night in very poor conditions so like the late Sir Tom im optimistic.
|
Re: Bristol Rovers thread
Thought the pitch held up very well last night began to cut up towards the end Buzzer and his helpers will be working hard this week to handle 2 more games in 7 days.
|
Re: Bristol Rovers thread
Think the squad is performing well all the subs looked good when they came on especially Smyth looking very lively, 2 new lads to see yet and 5 players hopefully to be fit for the run in later.
|
Re: Bristol Rovers thread
Sorry Ross out for season so 4 players hopefully to play a part of back from injuries.
|
Re: Bristol Rovers thread
We had 36 points after 20 games in season 15/16.
Just saying. |

Re: Bristol Rovers thread
As if he composed that ......... club statement covered by Captain's sig.
|
Re: Bristol Rovers thread
According to that letter the result was entirely down to The Gas’s poor performance. But, as Cashy wrote, they weren’t that bad.
At least Professor Coleman is decent enough to acknowledge when the opposition are better. Still think it rankles particularly deep in the psyche of some fans (and maybe some owners, if 28 is right) of certain clubs when Stanley beat them. |
