Brett Omerod scored 2 for Wigan so far, is he there on loan from Southampton or has he moved on?

Brett's staying at Wigan til the end of the Championship season; and Wigan apparently are confident about signing him in the summer

One would imagine that Brett has a good agent who has positioned him at Wigan with the appropriate "What if" and "In The Event Of" clauses , aimed at his client being in a Premiership Team next season.

So , only Joe Royle (the greatest manager to come out of Lancashire IMHO) and his Tractor Boys can spoil the party !

I know Brets mum and dad, i know his brother Darren and i think they are the nicest family you could ever wish to meet. that is with being a taxi driver. I have taken Bret home two or three times and concider the lad a gentleman.

Technically, Wigan have only extend the loan deal for another month and can be recalled at any time. The fact that Wigan only have 3 more games to play means it is until the end of the season assuming they do not go via the play off route, in which case, he could be recalled prior to the final. If he does sign as is anticipated in Wigan, then all the best to one of Accy's best ex players made good.
One other technicality, the first goal originally credited to Brett was eventually credited as an own goal by Dabizas. So he only scored once.

He is meant to be signing for 250k for Wigan at the end of the season

Just a quick note to offer Outback Ozzy my warmest congratulations on Wigan's elevation to the Premiership !

And I think that they'll stay there , as Wigan undertakes its remarkable transformation from (pardon my politically incorrect terminology) a rugger town to a soccer town !

...and to think, 27 years ago Wigan were just another Northern small town, non-league side. Makes you realise just what the power of hopes and dreams can do...along with the odd £75 million or so!

They'd be daft not to be interested and I'm sure Brett would like to come back up north
