Re: Cammell Laird

Last I heard on 2BR was 1-0 to Stanley, Craney scored late in 2nd half. Not sure if it ended same.

Re: Cammell Laird

It ended 1-0. Many triallists in the team in the first half, number 17 looked quite handy and went close to scoring once or twice. Number 2 (who Jeff tells me is from Darwen) looked pretty good too. Many more regulars in the team in the second half and we were well on top. Not a particularly inspiring match.

If it was the guy from Tuesday night, then that's very interesting.

Sounds like the majority of last season.

Yes, it was the guy from Tuesday night, so Jeff told me.

The no. 17 looked quite handy and proved a bit of a handful for the Lairds defence at times. No idea who he is.

Kooks as though there's an additional friendly this coming Tuesday night at Rossendale. See the official site.

The no. 17 on Saturday was the no. 10 from the Darwen game. I believe the Darwen number 2 from last Tuesday night who played for Stanley on Saturday was released from Stockport. I think Stanley's number 4 on Saturday was Jimmy Ryan http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jimmy_R...ller_born_1988)

Jimmy Ryan was at Shrewsbury last season and a Shrews fan friend of mine says he has enormous talent and comes highly recommended. He's ex-Liverpool too

The number 10 who played for us at Darwen could have been ex-Cheltenham player Craig Read (at least that's the name given on The Observer website, although I can't find any reference to him anywhere)

Re: Cammell Laird

Try 'Craig Reid' instead: http://www.4thegame.com/club/chelten...craigreid.html. Quite a few links if you Google his name and 'Cheltenham'. He was released by Cheltenham in May but seems to have been popular with their fans after scoring a few in reserve matches.

Re: Cammell Laird

That's definitely not the No 17 from Saturday.

I agree. I don't think he was as tall as that.

Re: Cammell Laird

Thanks Mike. I was going off the Observer website, but to be honest that lad looks nothing like the number 10 at Darwen either. It must be another mystery man? Maybe we'll find out more tomorrow night?

Re: Cammell Laird

it's probably Jason Walker coming for a third consecutive trial. He'd still be crap though.

Definately not Jason Walker, last I saw he was playing for Barrow.
