conference leading goalscorer

www.bet365.com

there is nobody from Stanley quoted in the list of potential Golden Boot winners. If we are to maintain our push for the title then are our forwards gonna weigh in with some goals? Paul Mullin would have to really motor now, but Browny is only four off the pace! The lowest place on the list is quoted at 66-1. There are two from Southport and even Colin Little at Altrincham is on.

Surely we can have a chance of big coin here.

Re: conference leading goalscorer

It just shows that our goals come from the whole team, not just from one source..Ian Craney would also be a good bet, The Frank Lampard of the Conference!!

Re: conference leading goalscorer

and furthermore there are some free bets with all new accounts.
Stick £10 at 4-1 on Stanley for the title and get a free £10 on Craney
minimum of £50 and £670
repeat for Mullin, Brown and Twiss (coming in Jan)

All the Morecambe fans say how good Twiss is but from the times I have seen of him he hasnt really stood out, but i dont see him week-in week-out.

And didnt he score alot of penaltys hence hes goal tally was so high?

Do you think we miss Lutel for the same reason?? He seemed to win a lot!

I know we are doing great, but has anyone got the 'stats' of penalties given when he was with us? & I don't think he should be back with us!!! We just don't seem to get 50/50's awarded our way!
Sorry if I've drifted off thread, move me if you will!

You dont think he stood out a couple of months back in a certain match ?

He is halfway through a 3 year contract and as we turned down £50,000 from Chester I think you can forget him coming in January !

Re: conference leading goalscorer

at Accringotn Stanley we know too well if a player wants to leave for a bigger club, they will - ie Rory Prendergast to Blackpool.
I doubt, if Mr Twiss wanted to come to Stanley, Morecambe could stand in his way.

He left champions Chester to sign for the mighty Shrimps and turned Accrington down!
As stated the asking price would be around £150k and I dont think Eric's pockets are that deep.

Re: conference leading goalscorer

Why did he leave Chester who are in the football league to come to a
conference team that has no ambition to be in the football league ???

must have been a money thing because why drop into non league when you could be in the football league?

i wouldnt want Eric to put hes hand into hes pocket for Mr Twiss!!

Re: conference leading goalscorer

That is correct. Quotes from then-Chester manager, Mark Wright:

"Michael has chosen money above ambition and he seems a confused lad.
He has chosen an easy life of playing games in the Conference instead of trying to make a name for himself in the Football League.
I think his decision shows a lack of passion and real love for football and it's disappointing that he has chosen to leave us.
Michael was inconsistent during the season but I wanted him to stay.
He wasn't prepared to accept what I offered and seems to have become greedy.
He has unfortunately shown a lack of ambition and hunger, but he harnesses all the ability of a player who could play in Division One.
Michael's future lies in his own hands now."

Very good player on his day and his finishing against 10-man Stanley was impressive, but he still continues to get criticism for inconsistency and lack of hunger in certain games.

He'd rather stay in the Conference with Morecambe than join us in the Football League
