Re: Rotherham away thread.

BELIEVE THE SCUMBAG PUSHED PELL WHEN HE RAN ON? and the ref had to push the player off the field? if pell had snotted him he would have been in serious bother. i hope those scumbags get jailed.

Re: Rotherham away thread.

It has been going backwards for a while - Man. U. last night!! - in my opinion, lockdown and restrictions have contributed to the decline..............

Not our day.....AGAIN!!! ............. bigger clubs with more fans influencing the game AND the referee again. I suppose we shouldn't be surprised. It's always been that way. Makes it all the more Fantastic that we are playing in the League that we are.........

Re: Rotherham away thread.

It took 57 minutes to prove why Rotherham sit top of L1.
Until then, Stanley's game plan to nullify the Millers had worked perfectly.
It took a goal any Premier striker would have been proud of to break the deadlock.
But ability & skill alone will not assure you success - you also need Lady-Luck.
And boy, was Lady-Luck wearing red today!
Even conceding a penalty with 1 minute left, being reduced to 10 men or being under the cosh for 8 minutes of stoppage time, wasn't going to alter the result.
The crowd got the ref to book Savin for time-wasting but after their goal, their keeper did exactly the same in spades.
Yes, the pitch invasion prior to our penalty was deplorable but Pell's game-saving spot-kick, despite the provocation, was even more so.
Sorry Harry, I've been singing your praises all season but today, you blew it!
I predicted an optimistic 1-1 draw today, so thanks Harry, you even blew my 5 point maxi!
Grrrrrrr!

Re: Rotherham away thread.

might have been better to change the penalty taker to someone who was not involved in the incident. suppose its fine being wise after the event but something that should be looked at if something similar happens in the future.

did not go yesterday and have missed a few this season as i have joined someone else on here with a declining love of football. got to say that pell has for me gone from the first name on the team sheet to a player you could argue whether he is in the starting line up or the bench.

Harry Pell tweeted himself that it was a poor penalty and apologized for costing us the point.

Re: Rotherham away thread.

Joe;

Their goal came from the 2nd phase of play after a very soft free kick to Rotherham.

His 2nd reference is to when Korede A turned the big centre half on the half way line and was racing away towards goal. The referee then gave Rotherham a free kick for a foul on the centre half. Really looked a poor decision; especially when Korede had loads of pace and looked really lively.
