Stanley v Chengdu Blades

It will be interesting to see how much we charge for this friendly. Chengdu Blades are playing at Worksop tonight, admission £5 for adults and £2 for concessions.

Not sure it's a good idea to be playing this game just now anyway with the list of injuries we have - don't want to risk any more just for a friendly game.

The club aren't exactly pushing it, are they? Hang on maybe I should be looking at the Asian Stanley site

Now on t'fishy site...eight quid adults, four quid concessions. Not too bad, but I reckon they should've matched Worksop's prices.

Re: Stanley v Chengdu Blades

I’ll make the effort to come, but I’m far from impressed by recent results. It’s time to get behind the club and push on; we desperately need to boost morel although the win at Wrexham should have provided all the encouragement needed. What a mess.

So what will Tuesday night bring us in our friendly encounter with Chengdu Blades, well we should be able to pick up some materiel for the club house or the Clayton end bar when that goes up. I still think it’s a pity they “the Club” didn’t make more of this game, lets hope the team and the supporters do.

Could be tricky, Doug. How many do Chengdu usually bring?

As it's a friendly if I go on the Clayton End will I be able to get a pint at half time or will the gate be locked?

I'll go for 100

Sometimes a neutral can be attracted to other games but is this match really that attractive even to the die hard Stanley fans ?

100 at the most IMHO, two home league games coming up, weather diabolical, moral at a low ebb, no 'away' fans, and as far as I can see no active promotion of the game other than one line here and there. Another one wasted.

Will be interesting to some if some of the Chinese community in the area take an interest in a team from their homeland

Is there a Chinese community in East Lancs, apart from the occasional takeaway owner and their families? Maybe the club should've had a cheap flyer printed up and left some in a few shops in Chinatown?
