I would think the people who live are on the flight path at heathrow would love aircraft to be grounded for 8 months.

Re: Volcanic ash cloud on its way

there was a mist in the air this morning down London way (I live just round the corner from Heathrow) can't tell whether its volcanic ash, fog, or someone having an early barbecue
just had another look after cleaning my glasses and its completely GONE.

OI! ICELAND!!

We said "Send us CASH".... are you deaf?

The knock on effects of this are really bad, all those companies trying to send stuff abroad & into the country are going to have problems.

I certainly wont be able to order anything from dealextreme for a while - lol

Sky ch526 Nat Geo - Air crash investigation all engines fail 7 pm tonight. Should be very relevant to the grounded flights issue.

Well, at least no contrails at the moment Margaret ..

Actually, there was a professor on Radio2 on Thursday saying the one in 1821 lasted 18 months !

Re: Volcanic ash cloud on its way

1783, 1821, what baffles me, is how the hell do they know how long those lasted way back then? also if they did they would have no concept of would it be dodgy fer aircraft. personally think its more scaremongering crap.
