the photo of dr harbinsons reminded me of the time dr harbinson removed a cyste from my neck with a scapel, i can still hear him saying to my mother ( hold him still mrs mellor this is going to hurt)...

i sold kershaws boil in the bag kippers from a basket in the late 50s/60s, my round was from rawtenstall to bacup every sat night. as soon as the pianist saw me coming into the pub he played cockles...

I attended the school 49/54 I don't remember the house but there was a youth club at the side opposite the library, we lived in the chip shop in henry st
