Good it is about time the people selling to underage kids were brought to book.a corner shop in bold st has lost it`s licence after residents and police said the area was plagued with teenagers, the store failed a test purchase by selling to a 15year old.
had to call in asda yesterday afternoon n was pleased to see the lass on the till asking 2 lads in front of me fer I.D. gotta say both looked about 20 to me, they produced the requested I.D. no fuss.the only way to deal with teenage drinking, take away the licence of people who sel to under age youngsters

) and i could buy alcohol at 14, at 15 i was working behind a bar and clubbing..the day before i turned 23 i was asked for id buying fags ( i had 4 kids with me and there is no way i look 15 now lol) yes they need to crack town on teenage drinkers but you have to remember that its hard to decided sometimes if the person looks old enough.. i have a friend that is 26, has 4 kids and looks 15 lolthats the reason no-one should be offended if asked for I.D.i used to look alot older than i was (no cheeky remarks thankyou) and i could buy alcohol at 14, at 15 i was working behind a bar and clubbing..the day before i turned 23 i was asked for id buying fags ( i had 4 kids with me and there is no way i look 15 now lol) yes they need to crack town on teenage drinkers but you have to remember that its hard to decided sometimes if the person looks old enough.. i have a friend that is 26, has 4 kids and looks 15 lol

I read about this in the Telewag .... They say that the kids were intimidating the staff then nicking the booze and drinking it outside.
1) why were the police not called
2) why did they not have camera's installed to back this allegation up??
1) They were called. The incident was in the papers.
2) They did inside. They wouldn't outside because they didn't want the Police to see how many yobs were using their premises and what they were up to.
Residents and myself worked hard to get it closed. The Police supported us and submitted the application for closure.
Good for you Graham.
If complaints from the public were so strong why was a survelance unit or CCTV from the outside not set up to identify the yobs?
Is this not a case for rounding up the ones involved by the police and reading them the riot act?
