Fire in Oswaldtwistle

Why not save yourself the effort of starting so many threads with links to the LET?

Just come on once a day and put one link on to it's home page?

Then just like you we will read the news.

Or get a paper round now you're old enough.:D

So why did you not post it? If your little helper starts reading the mail you will be out of a job :D

Would have been well worth a newspaper story,if "All" ossy had burnt down.:D

Aye...I can see the headlines now (bottom right of page 7 of the LT):

Fire Brigade called out to rubbish blaze

Firemen were last night called out to a fire on a large rubbish tip south-west of Church and Accrington. The tip, called 'Oswaldtwistle' and spread over several hundred acres, has been an eyesore for years. After standing by and watching the flames for several hours, the firemen intervened by hosing the site with petrol and then retiring down the pub.
A spokesman for the brigade said "t'lads enjoyed it".
