I think it's wonderful that you go there every Friday night, it's far better than getting stuck doing the same thing week in week out.MCR ADIM said:hi since moorend chippy has got the best chippy in ossy i go there on friday night and think it is very good what about you

Go and have a lookIs it still the best chippy in Ossy now in 2011?, I'd like to try it.
I've forgot it Gremlin moorend is further up the road, or it was the last time I look, they could have changed it thoughIs the Moorend Chippy opposite the Co-op in Oswaldtwistle?
If so I started to use it when my wife was in hospital and I called on my way back home if I came back via Knuzden. Now she is home I go every Monday Wednesday and Friday at 4pm for our tea and I recon it is one of the best around.
A chap with a mobo scooter is usually in at the same time as me on a Friday.
The owned of the chippy is very friendly even though he is a southerner form Essex.
If the Moorend is not opposite the Co-op then forget the above paragraph.

I believe it lost the title, shortly after this thread was started, in December 2004.

I took a risk and lostWHY did you eat it if you'd noticed what he'd done Margaret?
I rarely get takeaways, but when I was having my bathroom refurbed in March 2010, I bought a fish there. I did notice that the young lad who served me used his bare hand to move the fish and he had just handed out some change. I got the 'runs' that night which was fortunately over before the workmen commandeered my bathroom again the next day.

Bang on shaz, plus the fact folk ate more natural food wiout all the crap n additives, that dont help either.in those days people had better immune systems because they where exposed to more 'dirt', nowadays people get picky at the slightest thing, therefore not enabling themselves to be exposed to ANYTHING, its a load of bull if you ask me, it's like kids playing out and getting dirty and their parents fretting over it....so 'kin what? let them get dirty, it builds their immune system up, we have a nanny state in more ways than one now and that really pees me off
ok rant over
Absolutely spot on Shaz, if your not exposed to germs you never build a resistance to them. Although Asthma has been about for a long time (its only recently over the last 20 years or so that doctors have been diagnosing it) modern day living of central heating and wall to wall carpeting certainly hasn't helped, but the reintroduction of boarded floors is a step in the right directionin those days people had better immune systems because they where exposed to more 'dirt', nowadays people get picky at the slightest thing, therefore not enabling themselves to be exposed to ANYTHING, its a load of bull if you ask me, it's like kids playing out and getting dirty and their parents fretting over it....so 'kin what? let them get dirty, it builds their immune system up, we have a nanny state in more ways than one now and that really pees me off
