ossy fire station closure

It was a bit much, them setting all those fields on fire, just for their video.:D

Did you see the old Ossy fire station, in what's now part of the Civic Theatre/Town Hall?

How did u find that cherokee??

Quite enjoyed that:D tho wondered if a few of those car ones was from up here one summer hehehehehehe:D

haha i had to ask hubby about the car because when we were in pub our car got torched ..(did us a big favour) lol!!! but with being next door to firestation funny thing was although we were on thier doorstep they still had to drive the engine out of the station to class it as a call out lmao!!! dont know how true it it but thats what we got told

My little girl who is seven and sees things in ways that only seven year olds can calls it the 'writing building' because there's so much grafitti on it.

the 'writing building' because there's so much grafitti on it.

It's about time it was pulled down, it is dangerous. Maybe a bye law allowing the Council to demolish it and bill the owner would be a good idea.

That brings back loads of memories my Dad was Officer at Ossy Fire Station for 13 Years. Cherokee knows him well. I'll have to send him that vid, he'll love it.

Not up to speed with the 'Ossy' goings on since I moved to safer trees in Knuzden (Tis the far reaches of Hyndburn an almost forgotten area), has work finally started on the fire station?

Well strange you should ask but I did notice today that the windows had been breezed blocked in - not exactly work on it but at least it's a little less vandal proof.

Don't you mean the far reaches of Accrington and District?:D

Good to have you back posting.:)
