The Plough on Fielding Lane Ossy reopens on Thursday 25th August.
The bar manager is my stepgranddaughter's boyfriend and from her I have been told that the bar staff have uniforms and customers are required to adhere to a dress code - so no hoodies and track suits etc. allowed.

so Jaysay, don't make the effort to get up the hill - they won't let you in :D

Isn't the opening on Thursday just a sort of pre-viewing .. kinda' by invitation ?

Didn't go in when I wore a suite every day Margaret, could only manage to drag myself as far as the Stop:D

The Plough have just announced this on their facebook page
"Due to an oversight with a minor variation to a premises license we cannot open to the public for another 2 weeks as per Hyndburn Borough Council. Although this is a blow to us, and you our customers it gives us even more time to train our staff and iron out any small bugs.....Hang in their Folks, it will be worth the wait. NB If anyone wants to complain to the Council on our behalf please feel free!!!"

The add on seems strange, why is HBC at fault, if they didn't know the licencing requirements

I wish them well but it is out of the way a little.

Maybe that will be a good thing for them
