Signs

I have had several experiences which were and still are very special to me. I don't feel that here is the place to describe them and open them up to ridicule. I know what I experienced and I know what I believe. That is enough for me.

Some lovely stories and I also think it is our loved ones supporting us. As for my signs, when Ian had his allotment he used to pot his seedling and put them in my airing cupboard to propogate(not something I was happy about because there was soil all over my stairs) Not long after he died there was soil just outside the now redundant airing cupboard and I also found one of his markers. There is no way that soil was there all that time. He wasn't fit for his allotment last year. In the early hours of this morning one of the guests on here was looking at a thread and I clicked onto it. Anyway it was called something like "The Dash Of Life", not many people had contributed to it only Ianto and Willow I think but it sure makes me think he is around me.

i had a very strange experience, at the bedside of me nan in accy vic when she died, back in 63, do not wish to print it, but would never knock what anyone says happened, but i do not doubt fer a second. it actually freaked me out at the time, being 15, n brought up wi her, but older n wiser it certainly comforted me.

its a lovely warm peaceful kinda feeling that you get when you know/think a deceased loved one is still around, i remember going to sleep that night with a nice warm glow about me

I was working in Carlisle back in 1975, had just finished for the day at about 9-30pm and was stood at the bar in the hotel when I got this very cold shiver down my spine, it lasted for about 60 seconds. About 30 minutes later I recieved a phone call from my mother telling me that my Grandmother had died, I asked what time and she said just after 9-30pm, very strange:confused:

I have had quite a few experiences happen at different times in my life. All to long to write about.

Oh, yessss Pussycat. We shared a few experience's. Both good n bad. Whiling away those boring hours of a night shift. lol.
Ah....... the good ol days.

Took me ages to find this thread!!

Anyway, just wondred what peoples opinnion on this is?

I had a dream last night, and in it was my lovely sister (passed away in June), and my Grandad, (passed away a good few years ago).

I was getting out of a taxi on a street I did not recognise, with my mum, one of my brothers and Phil, my partner. As we were getting out I noticed my sister on the other side of the road pushing a pram! I asked my mum, why is Trish over there pushing a pram and she just laughed at me. I was so upset that I ran off towards a house at the bottom of the street. On the way, my sister caught my hand and said, It's ok now Gail, she can't and won't upset you anymore! she then took me in the house and left me sat on a chair. When I turned around, my Grandad was sat in another chair and smiled at me and said, don't worry about anything now, your doing ok.
Then I woke up!!

Can anyone tell me what this means please? I'm realy confused because I don't know if it was just a dream or it was meant to mean something.

Gail xxxx

I often dream of my husband, even though he died 12 years ago, and some of the dreams are very ordinary - but some are bizarre. I had a vivid dream, recently, where he and I were in a garden tearing a striped flanelette sheet into 3" wide strips (!) I have no idea why we were doing it but I felt very happy and comfortable. Oh, and we were both a lot younger - mid 30s or so.

I don't think this is any sort of a sign but I bet a psychoanalyst could have a field day with it. :D

I was told once that the recently deceased leave a feather with people they've loved. I know this is insane because it's was a cat but the day he died I came back from the vets and there was a feather on the stairs.

Probably a rational explanation - feather pillows etc - but I liked to see it as a sign from one of my best friends.

I've heard my Grandad in the past and I dream about my grandparents quite often.

I've heard that about the feather thing too Gayle, but have never witnessed it myself, I sometimes dream about my parents and funnily my first wife too, wether thats because I talk to the kids about their mother or not I don't know (she's been dead 20 years, but we were divorced)
