If thats true, this should NOT be happening, its simple enough those 2 aint FIT to run a club.According to today's Telegraph we are under a new transfer embargo for an outstanding debt of £4500 to a Championship Club for a loan player in 2007. Stanley are disputing the amount but hope that it will be cleared up today.

There's nowt on the LT website...yet. But two thoughts:
1) I can't see why we are placed under an embargo for what is essentially a disagreement between two clubs over a releatively small monetary amount. This is not a procedural point, such as the non-submission of accounts; it is simply a trading dispute.
2) But...talking of accounts..if the other club is right in the amount claimed by them, it means that despite going through all the headache of reopening the books and reworking the amounts due to creditors, the club and/or it's accountants have still not managed to get it right.
Maybe if we are under an embargo, then there is more to it than this.
Whilst I agree that articles in the Telegraph cannot always be taken at face value, they do claim to have got this information from the horses mouth, so to speak. As it has been said so often TL... one should not believe
all that one hears or reads !... and isn't it so disappointing when it is the Lancashire Telegraph that announces this sort of thing week in, week out !...it only tends to test the loyalty of the most ardent Fan.
Still perhaps an Official Proclamation from on high via the 'fishy' site will calm all our fears ??.
so why no announcement on the fishy site saying whats what n the reasons? aint rocket science, simple things such as that allay fears/rumours.Whilst I agree that articles in the Telegraph cannot always be taken at face value, they do claim to have got this information from the horses mouth, so to speak.
'Managing Director Dave O'Neill revealed the Reds attempts to register both players have been held up because of a new transfer embargo, enforced after c Championship club unexpectedly demanded the repayment of around 4,500 for the loan of a player in 2007.
Stanley, who have had three previous embargoes in the last 12 months dispute the claim but hope it will be resolved today'

This is the only loan player i could find that we had from a championship side at the time Cardif winger Joe Jacobson joined november 2006 for 2months left stanley mid jan 07..It could have been one of the lads we had on loan from Cardiff around about then
McGrail joins from Preston North EndI reckon stanleyhouse is nearer the mark.
Not for £4500 specialy when he was on a 'work experience' loan deal..more likely the cardif player
McGrail joins from Preston North End
John Coleman has secured the services of 17 year old Preston North End striker Chris McGrail on a one month 'work experience' loan deal. Chris, who has been on the bench twice for PNE this season, will be available for selection for our home match against Mansfield on Tuesday evening.

I have been in business for five years and always file my account on time, the only reason for not getting them in on time is because they are hiding things as long as posBBC Sport - Football - Football League clubs adopt 'home-grown' rule
So does this mean we are are going to have another transfer embargo. (the bit about not publishing our accounts on time)
