We NEED.......

Margaret Pilkington said:
YOU!
You are online.....you must have a few moments to spare.....so PLEASE.....head over to the current photo comp and have a look at the entries......choose your favourite......and VOTE!
Just to make it easy I will give you a link.

New Photo Competition 35 - Accrington Photo Gallery

Many thanks in anticipation.

Done it, did it Friday, can't do it again for another Fortnight, ah well, at least I get a chance to vote more often than I get a chance for sex!
:thankya:

Thank you Less. In truth, this thread should not be necessary. There is a link to the competition at the start of the competition thread.
We are in very real danger of losing this competition unless more people take an interest.
Even if they do not want to take pictures and enter, it takes little effort to vote....and voting makes it worthwhile for those of us who do enter.....I am one of them.
So please, take a few minutes of your time....and vote.

Might I suggest that everyone interested in encouraging others to vote/join in, add the link to their signature? (Added it to mine as an example).
Then all that needs to be done is when he puts on the new competition all Mick has to do is wander around the site and update the links?

:hidewall:

Done it, Margaret, so come on the rest of you, all you need is one finger, once you have looked at the photos.

Thanks Frank. It is the same every competition. No wonder Mick gets exasperated(he hasn't said he does, but I know I would feel like my efforts were not valued and it would exasperate me).

I was thinking just the same Dave, I have some stunning shots of Sunrise/Sunset and even the Earth Terminator (Night/Day).
I will have to have a look.

Si....in the meantime, you could always put them on the thread 'Today in Pictures'.....where they would be welcomed.
I hope you DO join the next comp. It is always good to get people involved.....whether that be by entering a pic or by taking the time to look at what has been entered......and then voting.

I should have known, Okay Marg I will see what I can do over the next few days. I will have to hunt them down!
I will enter the next one, we have thousands of Digital snaps, I just have to turn the external drive on though.

Turning on the hard drive is not too hard Si......and the appreciation will be so worth it.
I think that as a result of the Today in Pictures thread, all of us benefit in some way.

The snappers amongst us have become perhaps a bit better, more adventurous even....and the ones who can't get out and about so much have the pleasure of seeing things that they might not get to see. Those who live out of the country also get glimpses of their spiritual home
That has to be worth something. It is also, on the whole a very good natured thread. One that is pleasurable to visit.
