Both those people posted farewell threads, and gave their reasons.

Perhaps other members who've left, because some people post crass and contrary messages just to relieve their own boredom, have left without making a song and a dance about it.

;)

Some members are missed when they leave, Blazey would not be one of them.

I believe you are wrong and have good reason to believe you are wrong, but on that same note, I barely post anyway. There are a great number of members who wouldn't be missed either, it's an internet forum, not a cult.

Since you admit to posting the opposite of what you believe, in order to relieve your own boredom, we shall take it you agree with him.

Well I don't need anyone to miss me, the people who are my friends on this forum are my friend in real life, not just over the internet and they're going to think the same of me regardless of whether I'm on here or not.

Anyone who does depend on this forum for friendships should probably get out more.

I doubt there's anyone who depends on Accy Web for friendship, though it amuses me that people admit to using it time and time again to relieve their own boredom.

I pity anyone whose life is so empty they suffer boredom. Something I've happily never experienced myself.

Once some people have trodden in dog muick, there's always that certain unpleasant whiff about them, no matter how far they travel.

Don't forget to wipe your feet on the way out.

I use a lot of forums, they're useful for seeking knowledge on a great number of topics quickly and seeing a variety of opinions. I like to see what is happening at home even if I'm barely there.
