It's too far from the town centre for that - nobody would walk that far. Maybe it will be the new bus station. :D

Hindle! That's the one. Thanks Grego. Walkers went into partnership with Hindle's and then Hindle and Walker went into partnership with Farrimond and the Hindle name was dropped. Don't know why I...

I thought the woodyard was further up but it's a long time ago. I remember some chap called Jack something who was a joiner. Was it Jack Davies?

It was something else before Walkers. Did it have something to do with Frasers? Whatever it was I think Walkers went into partnership.
