I really can't see anyone want ing to come to Accrington for anything, other than perhaps to visit relatives...the Market is abysmal, likewise the Market Hall.

The council, the last one, spent God knows how much of our money putting a fancy surface down on Broadway and within weeks the blooming stuff was coming off........the contractors had to be called...

Kate I am saying what the oldies are saying(those we travel with on bus journeys......those who don't have computers to tell you themselves).

Kate, I was never much good at deciphering plans.......so I gave up looking at them.

I know several older people(we shop for one of them) who go into town on the bus and just go in the Market...

This new bus station will not inconvenience the young and fit, but it may inconvenience the older people and those with toddlers and prams......these are the people who do use these services.

Yes, they did.........and they may still have the same facility for shoppers.

I don't know if Tesco have had some input in where the new bus station would be sited, but it will certainly be more...

It would make an even greater up to minute bus station......and revitalise the Market and the market hall by filling it instead of having it half empty...and looking unloved.

Sue, I pass the train station regularly on my way up to see Ma...it rarely seems busy.

I just hope that there are a lot more people like you, who feel that this development is in the right...

I wouldn't be at all surprised Taggy.

It makes me wonder if Tesco had a hand in this Bus station move, (I strongly suspect that it did...Ok you can call me an old cynic)as it moves everyone nearer...

Well, Graham Jones has been saying all along that this new site isn't big enough.
I think the market will die a death and the Market hall will be available to all those who want to use it for arty...

I hear what you are saying but is difficult for some transport users to attend meetings.......were these consultation meetings ever publicised? I don't remember seeing any publicity about...

Disabled parking doesn't help if you do not have a car.
If you are reliant on public transport, and let's face it a lot of the elderly are....they the market hall may lose their custom. It is Ok...

The older people are traditionally, who still shop in the Market Hall....because it is what they have always done.

Ok if you have access to a car, but for those elderly and infirm, the bus station being moved down to Crawshaw St. does the Market and the Market hall no favours at all.
