Just looked up Delia mincemeat recipe the essence of which seems to be putting it in a warm oven so that the suet melts and coats everthing. How do you do it without the suet :confused:

As I don't yet have a proper kitchen in this house I don't cook more than I have to.

Always used to make my own mincemeat usually at the same time as pudding and cake so about 6 weeks before...

Oh yes the ones with pink or white icing not the chocolate ones.

Usoally buy some each year but have forgotten so far... will have to see if they still have some in Aldi.

Don't mind the cold and snow at all so long as it stays white and crisp rather than grey and slushy.

We've done well out of property moving four times gradually south to north and we've had some pretty good hangovers in our time. :signbeer::drink: :drunk::pain30:

Wise words Less, maybe the house is just an excuse...

But... we've already spent over 20K on damp, electrics, drains, plumbing, things you can't see... it was a wreck. Would like to make it...

My dad's birthday was New Year's Eve so we always had a party when I lived at home, and I got used to celebrating. Lately we have stayed at home as not been invited to any parties nor found a decent...
