I am saddened to say that John Kelly passed away this week after a long illness.
He was very proud of his photograph collection, not all his own work, Retlaw and Owd Bert amongst others contributed...

How many of you are aware that Accrington had its own gliding club? All google references are from 1931 as far as I can see and the Secretary had his office (home address?) at 67, Eagle St. Check out...

The first is Bull Bridge in 1901 where the site is being cleared for the new...

You are right Retlaw - except that the address listed in the company Directory in the reference section of Accy library says that it is No. 23. Maybe it covered both addresses in it's day:idunno:

Firstly, the dignitaries opening Broadway. The ceremony was held on the corner of Cobden St. which no longer exists. Does anyone know the date?...
