On the subject of pubs, what are they building at the front of the Black Dog, a smoking shelter, or are they creating a beer garden at the front of the pub ?

I thought that aswell Panther. They are loosing a lot of space around the front, thats great to sit in the summer. I haven't been in for ages so haven't had a chance to ask Martin. Will try and find out though.

I am very surprised that HBC planning are allowing the smoking shelter to be built at the front of the pub, and on a main road :confused:

The area at the front looks to be cobbled, so the pub probably own it.
(if they were council owned - cobbles would have been whipped up and sold off by now :D)
