A friend came to rehearsal and said 'i've just been past a shop and they're selling co wheels, what are they?' It took us a while to work out that the sign had said cow heels! :D

I know it's suppposed to be good for you, but tripe, and all those offal products, make me heave.

I think it is the intestine lining rather than the stomach lining.

Although all those offal products are meant to be good for you, low in fat etc., they can't be that healthy, because they don't come out of the animal the colour you see them on the tripe stalls.

They've been bleached more than Marilyn Monroe's muff.

Used to buy 2 vanillas for Fred at the Palladium. Anyone remember Fred? His wife worked in the ticket office. Anyone remember Dorothy Bollough?

Just found this Ossy forum :

Tripe - can't stand the stuff! My dad used to eat it braised in milk with onions.

Co-op - Used to run errands for mum, never forgot her divi number 1711.
Couple of times I drove the co-op van when the regular driver was on holiday.
Last time I gave it a bit of a scrape on the garage door and didn't tell anyone.
Got a right bollocking for that !

Dr. Farquhar - a stand-up bloke. He came up to 4 Lane Ends (near Guide) in his pony and
trap to attend me in the winter of 46/47 when I was just a couple of
months old.
I had bronchial pneumonia when I was about 8 (parents smoked & air
pollution). It was touch and go but when I woke up and asked for some
grapes there were none to be had in Ossy. Hearing this the Doc came
back in half an hour with the biggest bunch you ever saw.

We must be the same age, as I believe Dr. Farquhar was a regular attender at our home day and night when I had pneumonia when I was only six months old, so much so my initials are JD the D is after Dr F, Douglas
