Old Bus Tickets Accrington Corporation
Just seeing these brought back many memories. Mainly of arguments, about whose turn it was to hold them this week. :D |

Re: Accy Buses............
I saw an Accy red and blue on my way to work this morning. It was turning off Eastgate up Burnley Road and had a poster on the side saying something along the lines of - "Accrington Buses Centenary" along with pictures of coaches. Not sure if it was in service or if there were any passengers on board - was too busy swan necking at the poster.

She used to recall the celebrations when the first bus came to Green Haworth . Every morning before school she went to the confectioners at the bottom of Fielding Lane for her grandad's special loaf of brown bread . Then she went back down again with her sister to St Mary's school on Moscow Mill St . And before all that she had to go to the well at the other end of Cross Edge for water . In later years she said that they never bothered , that it was just something they had to do . |

Here is a photo of the bus seen around town at the moment, its travelling between Accrington and Burnley. Tis lovely to see!
The bus itself was originally from Merseyside and purchased by Northern Blue in 2006 |
