That is standard and most people will be asked that unless we know them personally or have asked before. You are only allowed 1 account, we have had members with 2 accounts in the past using the other account to wind up people etc.

It also helps us ban spam users/bots who register again after being banned for advertising or whatever.

That is why some comments are left while similar comments from other members are removed. I know it often looks to new members that there is a bias in the moderating but there is a difference between, for example, you calling Jaysay a plonker and a new member doing the same. You know him personally so you know he is :D, the new member would just be being rude.
