Re: Accrington E Jriley

Just a slight wonder, Was watching the BBC TV program, Flog It, yesterday and a portable Riley slate bed snooker table was an item on the program, it was around 85 years old it looked like it was a 5' or 6' by 3' had all the accessories including cues, rests and scoreboard, it went for £100 in a auction, very cheap really

The folding billiard and bagatelle tables are pretty cheap - they're always turning up on ebay. They're very difficult to find in good condition though - the baize tends to come away at the fold. I'd thought about getting one as a restoration project when I get some time... still haven't found the time yet

The big tables do sell for more. And the signature cues are pretty expensive.

The one on Flog it wasn't a folding table Pudwoppa, it was a one piece rigid table as it took four of them to carry it into the room (which it showed) the baize and cushions looked in first class condition, think they had actually had it recovered, but it was a snip at £100

Re: Accrington E Jriley

Sorry - I saw the price and assumed it was a folding one. Can't believe a full size one went for that :O It must have been a tough crowd at the auction house. Knowing what they sell for elsewhere, I'd have had the reserve much higher than that if it was mine.

Wasn't a full size one Pudwoppa, it was either a 5' or 6' by 3', but it was a one piece slate bed table top and it took four people to carry it into the auction
