Re: Clough Bottom Farm, Accrington

Here's a post to this thread after eleven years (and counting)... Back in 2008, Mitchells asked about people living at Clough Bottom Farm, Accrington. My GGG grandfather John Benson lived at Clough Bottom during the 1841 Census with his wife Bridget and his children Duckworth, John jnr, Jonathan, Lucy, Thomas, George (my ancestor), Ellen (or Helen), Elizabeth, Felix and Jane. Two other children had grown up and moved away; another child died in infancy. At the time of the census, John snr was a farm labourer.
