That's the email address on the same pamphlet, saying any more information contact him there.

Still no reply. Any Tories here who can shed any light, or at least warn him to hurry up?

Anne Widdecombe! What a perfect image of womanhood...................She should get the male vote on side. By hell, the lust her image congers up in the heart of a full blooded Englishman..............Thank **** I’m a Celt.

You could catch him in person tomorrow night Garinda.

Baroness Cox of Queensbury and James Mawdsley will be speaking at St. Augustine’s Church, Huncoat. 28th April 7:30pm.

Maybe he's out and about so much he just never gets time to read his emails.

After nearly 48 hours after first e-mailing Mr Mawdsly and geting no reply to my question of which countries have compulsary euthanasia l've sent another e-mail.

Again politely l've asked for an answer or at least the courtesy of a reply.

I also pointed out l've posted this here, and we are over 2,300 registered members of his hoped for electorate.

I'll keep you posted of any further developments.

Perhaps he was better at illegally entering Burma than answering his e-mails?

The power of Accy Web?

Just had a reply from James Mawdsley.

The country where he thinks voluntary euthanasia has become compulsary is the Netherlands! He says that recently 600 elderly people were killed without their consent. He also says 23 babies were also killed there, again without their consent[?] No substantiating details were given.

He then went on to talk about one couple/one child policies in China resulting in abortions. Mention was also made about Nazis and concentration camps?

I'm afraid his answer hasn't satisfied my initial reaction, that the original quote about pensioners facing compulsary euthanasia was at best scare mongering and at worse a total lie, as euthanasia is not compulsary in the Netherlands.

Just to show l didn't start this thread because of political bias, a funny flyer came through my door this morning. Clive J. Fisher of the Liberal Democrats says, also about pensioners, that he will abolish 'pole' tax for them!

I've said before l don't think spelling is that important to getting your point across, but you'd have thought someone would have proof read a published leaflet.

Tories will save pensioners from death camps, and the Liberal Democrats will let them pole dance, free of charge. :)

Re: Con. candidate?

I thought the poll tax was replaced years ago by the council tax.
So the spelling is wrong and the tax is years out of date.

Holland has had unofficial assisted suicide for the past thirty years. On April 14, 2001, to encourage doctors to report assisted suicides without fear of prosecution, the practice was given the sanction of law. It is not compulsory, it never was and there is absolutely no prospect of it ever being so.

James Mawdsley is needlessly alarming the elderly and the vulnerable in the hope of securing their votes. How can anyone consider that such disgracefully irresponsible behaviour is likley to encourage the trust of the electorate? And , which is worse, how can anyone publish such arrant nonsense and expect that the public will be decieved by it?

You've answered your own question. If he didn't believe that it was likely to encourage the trust of the electorate he wouldn't have published it.

The question was intended to be rhetorical and an expression of exasperation at the crass stupidity of politicians.

And all this goes to prove that there isn't one of them I trust to govern this great nation.

Where did we let it go so wrong?

There it is in a nutshell. It doesn't matter what they call themselves regarding with which party they are aligned. None of them are trustworthy. The only prerequisite to becoming a politician is that one has to be adept at lying.

About the time of the Romans, when Boudicca [Boadicea,] the original Iron Lady last kicked some ass!
