Re: Con. candidate?

I think you should take this one to the Observer Garinda, let them know that our prospective MP is a scare-monger who can't get his facts right and doesn't reply to e-mails from his potential electorate.Notice that the latest pamphlet from him this morning contains a photo of him and wifey having their wedding blessed by our recently deceased Pope. What a fortuitous bit of timing.

Was that a limited edition pamphlet Lindsey, cause I ain't seen one of those, and living on the swings, I thought I may have had one delivered by hand.

Re: Con. candidate?

No l had the same one, l'm obviously still seen as a potential Tory voter!

Their wedding blessing by the Pope was a lovely picture, and l'm going to frame it and put it on my mantlepiece- such a nice young couple.

I was so amazed at the lies/scare-mongering l was going to contact the Observer, but missed this week's deadline and next week's edition will be too late. :(

I did ask Mr Mawdsley to join our happy band of webbers if he has the time, as l'm sure he could enlighten us more with his take on political truths.

Margaret, I'm with you. I would love to spend 10 mins with each of them. The prolem is I think I would still struggle to find one worthy of my tick.

park381, no leaflets?

You've really confused me now, as l thought l had eliminated you down on Park Lane to two people. One being a lady whose name begins with M, the other was Ken Hargreaves!

Re: Con. candidate?

I received the Conservative leaflet last night and there was absolutely nothing in it about euthanasia. I read it and reread it but couldn't find anything - did see the nice picture of him getting blessed by the pope though.

What was most worrying and I'm not sure what this means - the leaflet was delivered at the same time as the BNP one and the Labour one, are they planning a coalition?

Re: Con. candidate?

I think it probably means that a "leaflet dropper" was delivering them rather than a party representative.

How odd that your leaflet doesn't have the euthanasia reference which Garinda's has. (back page under "pensioners"?) I haven't even had a leaflet so can't check.

I got both Tory leaflets.

The one with the Papal blessing, and the one featuring the quote about compulsary euthanasia,[ which featured James and the fragrant Elizabeth sat on a dry stone wall, her wearing a Donny Osmond hat, and was called 'James Mawdsley- Fighting for Hyndburn.' ]

Interesting point about Labour's election leaflets, did you know that the party offered candidates two styles of leaflet? Same message on both but one with, and one without, the smiling face of Tony Blair.
