At least those nice new signs do actually echo the shape of the archway. I wouldn't have put it past them to tag oblong ones right across the arch thus hiding it totally from view.

I don't care if it does make me an old grouch I do think the lights should all be down by now and packed away out of harm's way. It just seems so tacky to leave them up way too long.

Living in Spain is lovely, they don't have any problems about when the decs come down, they don't bother about Friday the thirteenth and so it just goes to prove that none of it really matters.

I just can't bring myself to cut my nails on Friday or Sunday though!!

I'm sorry to disagree with you young Shakey.

For our Council not to take the Christmas decorations down on time, shows that they are totally disorganised.

When they are still up in July, and answer that it's all down to cost, perhaps they shouldn't have bothered anyway. Then again they wouldn't be able to pat themselves on the back at the 'grand' switch on back in December.

Urination in a brewery springs to mind.

Maybe its a case of they might not be able to afford the cost of putting them back up again. :D

the council totally disorganised is hardly a shock to any of us. i too am angry at the council for the prolongoed cost they are causing; but i just think that it isnt really worth getting this annoyed about when there are much more important issues going on in the world; when it's something this small just let it be!
