Glad to hear everyone was ok, but please don't expect to much from your local constabulary.
Last year my father was hit by a hit and run driver on Burnley rd, the car came out of a restaurant car park, crahed in to the front off side and drove away, our ever faithful bobby took all the info and said he would be in touch, six weeks later we recivied word that after exhaustive inquires they could not find the car and the although the case would stay open they could not afford any more resouces on it.
My sister rang the Restaurant and asked if any of the staff owned a blue escort, the manager gave her a name and an address of one of the waiters, we went around and sure enough there it was, exhaustive inquires my arse.

It might be worth having a word with ossy mills, their car park security camera is in the right place to have recorded the incident, I know from when I worked at Hilden (the owners) we had to find a recording of some guy breaking into one of the cars on the car park, that camera even picked up the licence plate of the thiefs van.:)

In the same area a few days ago there was a white fiat punto, with blue headlights and loud exhaust driving like a madman. I was out walking my dog on the field at the top of catlow hall street when the car came flying up(probably doing about 60mph) the brow of the hill and they only just found enough grip to stop them smashing into parked cars on fairfield st.

It's great that the coucil have put the speed humps on fairfield st., but we still have the problem of the nutcases driving in from ossy.:mad:

Surely all the nutcases can't be from ossy, there must be some from somewhere else, still.... thinking about it.:D

(we'll be acussed of being ossyists next just you wait, I'd rather just be a plain old racist it was simpler in the good old days;)).

It's my understanding that the camera if off/not working, when there is no flash unit in it. You can easily see this.

Sorry, yes I should have posted this. I sent an email to Boyd Hargreaves (name dropping again) and he very kindly got someone to look on the security tapes but you're quite right Less, they no longer point in the direction of the junction so they didn't catch anything. Oh, well it was worth a shot!
