I take back what I said about good media reports. The Daily Telegraph this morning headlines with 'Absent Fathers to be Named and Shamed'

Somebody wake them up and tell them this is 2006 !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not much chance of that they are still of the belief its 1906. :o All this "selective" wording is making it harder to get anything done or the mess sorted out. Why is it the fathers that cop it when some women are just as bad. Or is it only when the PC brigade or womens rights get involved does it become parents???

Sadley then they would claim its no different than any other debt. Some when faced with owing a small fortune would rather be unemployed than pay it.

if the csa was fairer and not just set to target fathers who do their bit that would be a good start

parents who pay csa are also funding peoples kids whos parent isnt paying up

like i said before it needs putting back into teh courts where a judge can see a mans income and decide what is fair on an individual case basis and punish those who dont pay

also would like to see parents get stripped of their legal aid if they break a court order for access, lets see how often they like going to court when it isnt free

True Spuggie. Alecs father has gone one step further to avoid paying any maintenance.
He puts Not Known on any correspondance they send him and return the letters unopened.
Stopped signing on about 4 years ago, is working but we think under a false name so is not even paying any tax or insurance.
Owes £10,000 + in maintenace.
When Alec used to make the effort to visit him, he would fob him off with 50p and tell him he was buisy with his mates having a joint !

If i could get away with naming and shaming this Church man on here, i would and i have a pretty good feeling some members on here know him.

His brother died 2 weeks ago, was only 45 years old and his death was sudden and unexpected. Alec wanted to go to the funeral in hopes of seeing his dad. I said no, as he was doing exams at school at the time.

Alec gets really frustrated with the fact his dad cant be bothered with him.
