Erm both & with Mr C going on about this load of tosh he clearly has no idea of parenting issues nor policy to solve it so as most of them try to live in the past!!

Btw cops scare me so never got chance of clip round the ear but they dont scare the youth of today:confused:

Oh dear for the sake of the kids bit again, the kids grow up blaming themselves for keeping unhappy parents together:( Mind u a good few decades ago there were more morals & society was much stricter on acceptance than today - so the shame alone would keep legs cross or flys zipped in presence of temptation:rolleyes:

The kids should never have that burden placed on their shoulders. Depending on their age they shouldn't be privvy to to what goes on in adults relationships. You think sitting a child down and saying "oh mumy or daddy has left us cus they're screwing someone else" is easier for a child to deal with? Break ups affect childroom the most, it's as simple as that, they should be protected from the heartache as much as possible

Very true :D Thing is kids are very quick & intuitive - they might not understand the ins & outs - even if they are kept in the dark about it or dont know what the problem is - they actually know theres a problem:D

LOL! Yeah I hope so ...... especially when one of the parents is still missing after a few months ;)

With the exception of a relationship breaking up through violence, both parents should make an effort to be together for the sake of the children. When all said and done no child ever asked to be born.

MMmm i'll agree with some & disagree with some there, for the sake of children mmm grrr again im one of those children whose parents did & that still dont cut it with me because kids who get that shoved in their faces feel responsible that cos of them their parents have to stay together & be unhappy thus the environment is unhappy. A happy loving home whether lone parent, couple or step parentage should be the main thing !!

Do right be your kid[s] & they'll do right by u when u is old - like shove u in a nicer owd folks home :D

very true HAPPINESS beeing the key if your not happy it rubs off on your kids. It took me i while to realise that my son will always luv me as his dad and his mum as his mum but screeming and shouting at each other and ill feeling u cant hide it from them and sometimes that can be wose than the break up. They are more resilliant than u think!!!

Sadly though the truth is that the arguments quite often still continue after a break up. The child(ren) then get used in a little game by the parents of trying to get one up on each either. So, sometimes it's a lose/lose situation for the kiddies caught in the middle

There's also a lot of children out there that have been emotionally scarred because of their parents break up.

True, problem is either situation aint good be it in the relationship or out unless the parents put aside their selfishness & concentrate on the kids or better still make better judgements before having kids:D

That is my point exactly, but I didn't want to word it like that, I didn't want it to look like I was saying that people who have kids and seperate are selfish, every relationship is different ..... but yes there are some selfish people out there who should put their kids needs before their own.

now were gettin somewhere, its a total breakdown of respect and discipline, far more than what that tory plank is saying.as well as the home, school, police, NO ONE has the right to discipline any more! who took that away? the one parent families.:rofl38: :rofl38: its far more complicated than that simpleton spouts.and if theres no discipline theres no respect.
