Good point. When we in the UK were in a depression in the eighties, I know load of tradesmen who became economic migrants, chasing tradesmens jobs all over Europe.

There will be people in Poland who will be saying he should go home, I will say as a slight variation on my previous statement that if they have skills that this country needs then they should be allowed in on a temporary permit but currently they are coming in not for our benefit but for themselves.:mad:

There's always been economic migration. From the dawn of time man has wandered the globe trying to find a better life. You can't blame people for trying, though you can try and stop them. Just as the U.S. government would try and stop us from going to work/live there. Hell, the U.K. is the only damn country not eligible to enter their green card lottery draw they have. Special relationship my arse.:D

its always puzzled me, go to spain n the train staff,taxis,electricity,postal,buses,etc etc, are all spanish, spain is a member of the EEC,yet they only employ their own, you get immigrants working in real estate @ odd soliciters but thats because much property is purchased by immigrants, whose got it right?:rolleyes:

We are all free to go and work anywhere in Spain, or elsewhere in the EEC. The reason so few do, or that the job market is so limited for them, is that they can't speak the bloody language! ;):D

I disagree. I have friends working in Spain, and throughout Europe, in a variety of jobs.

I think a Spaniard would find it quite hard getting a job in Accy if they didn't speak any English.
