Some people can take things completely the wrong way though and when things like this get brought out then people start thinking he's this he's and it's just complete rubbish and not true. Did anyone even think maybe he didn't start his own facebook and someone else stupidly did it for him?? We can't all get everything right all the time, no one is perfect. I know you've apologised but when threads like this start they can easily spiral out of control and hurt a lot of people :( At the end of the day Graham gives up the majority of his own time to do things that he thinks are in the best interests of people and I admire him for that whether I'm interested in politics and whether he's good or bad at it and likewise to anyone else who gives up their time for causes they believe in. |

Neil - I retract saying you have bad taste
Any man who loathes football as much as I do can't be that bad :D |
Re: Apology To Graham Jones
Graham you can remove it quite easily, just remove your fun wall then people wouldnt be able to post anything on it if its not there

Re: Apology To Graham Jones
Well, ok .. you can come out of your room now then, and put the gruel bowl in the sink ... :)

Re: Apology To Graham Jones
It takes a big person to apologise, even though I know you didn't mean the thread to be a personal attack.
Some good points were made, and as others have said, Graham is a normal bloke, who uses a social networking site, like a lot of people on here, no big deal. The next time I tell you to move a thread from the over 18's section, or jump in the canal, don't listen to me.:D |

Re: Apology To Graham Jones
I don't think you've got anything to apologise for, Neil. Mind you I only saw the beginnings of the thread. We musn't upset folk, must we? :)

Re: Apology To Graham Jones
If i'm getting this right, on these sites people can just put things on your pages by just sending them to you, without your say so, sounds just crazy to me. Graham Jones is not my favourite cup of tea, but if some one put that photo on his pages without him knowing about it, which he has intimated is what happened, its a bloody disgrace. Its supposed to be your friends you commuicate with your pages, but anyone can just send what they want and its just displayed without so much a by your leave, if thats the case I'll stick to Accy Wed and sod Facebook

Re: Apology To Graham Jones
Yes anyone can put something there. It shows as being who it has come from, very much like somebody leaving a comment on your profile on BurnleyWeb.

Re: Apology To Graham Jones
I don't know if people can put photos in their comments on BurnleyWeb profiles, I've never tried. What I was meaning was that someone can post a comment on your profile there and the first you know about it would be when you see it. They could say something offensive or defamatory and anyone else loking at your profile would see it, like looking at Graham's Facebook 'profile'.

Re: Apology To Graham Jones
As I understand it .. you can only put something up on somebody's site only if you have been accepted as a trusted friend .. that means you can't see into his profile either, or view other's comments. Course his other friends can see them ..
The young lady poster was an accepted friend .. 'course might be getting this all wrong, but that's the way I see it ? |
