Apology To Graham Jones

Graham,

I would like to apologise for the facebook thread's I started.
It was not my initial intention to have a personal go at you. I intended pointing out why these types of sites can have downsides to them.
I should have had the common sense to realise how it would end up and not posted at all.

I was annoyed when I was accused of faking the information I posted which is not the case. I then started the second thread. This showed a lack of control and I am embarrassed by my actions. I don't usually allow such things to bother me, in this case I did. For that I am very sorry.

I asked for the threads to be removed as I believe they looked like a personal attack on you.

Neil.

Fair play to you for being big enough to apologise, Neil, but as Garry said, I still reckon you've done Graham a favour by showing him to be a regular sort of bloke with fallibilities just like so many of us!

I don't know what the apology is referring to, I did not see these threads. But even so it takes a lot to put up a public apology. I admire you for this.

I didn't see it as a personal attack, merely a nudge to show what repercussions could occur by having material of that nature on show. Personally I think you did him a favour. Obviously you didn't think so, and you should be proud that you are fair and open minded enough to apologise especially in public. X

Well it certainly proves Neil is a man who has principles, so he has no chance of becoming a politician:D

Me three and I agree with Cashy that I would have admired PB a lot more if he'd had the guts to behave in a similar manner.

Thanks Neil. I respect the fact you had the guts to apologise. Didn't see the thread.

Facebook is a noticeboard on which people pin things to others noticeboards, and it all gets automated through their friends to their friends and so on. I don't know if there are (or can be with this type of social networking) any filters.

This is the second item I wanted removing, the first was racist (about the french). I don't know how you prevent it because on Facebook, the whole point is your friends (and everyone else too) can post on your page.

Ta Neil

I am just an ordinary bod who makes mistakes too. I enjoy the banter and believe if I work hard, people are honest, contribute/lead issues, Peel Ward will be a better place. I would like to think my position is to start the ball rolling and let democracy take over.

good man, thats that un put to bed.;)
