Everything fine, ambulance came bright and early and we were finished before appointmemt time. Mum can now put some weight on her foot but is waiting for physiotherapist calling tomorrow. Back again in six weeks to check progress.

Re: Mum Has Fractured Her Hip

Been back to see the specialist today and everything is fine. The fracture has healed well(a very big blessing considering Mums age) and now she can put her full weight down.:) Got to wait for the physiotherapist to visit again to discuss walking aids(Mum is hoping it isn't a frame as she says she isn't decrepit yet)

She does seem to have lost her self confidence for getting out and about, think she is frightened of the bus setting off before she manages to sit down. Tried to tell her not to worry, anyway I will be with her. So once we get her going out and about again things should be fine:)

Brilliant news Bernadette. It takes a long time for them to recover doesnt it. Hope she gets her confidence back soon.

It’s good that things are improving. Recovery does take time as we age.

Sure her confidence will flood back once she feels steady on her feet again.
