Don't throw away entire bills, receipts, credit-or debit-card slips, bank statements or even unwanted post in your name. Destroy unwanted documents, preferably by using a shredder.

Perhaps us oldies are the only ones with savings :p

Margaret......Don't tell the world you've got savings.
Some of the morons in today's society will steal your underwear and try to get the details off your knicker lastic.....:o

Are we sure they have some at Liberia Street? The woman on the phone said they've run out. Not surprising if people keep going around nicking them.

Willow............get our resident council baiter on the case.
I know where there is a stack of bins.
Perhaps he could get Peter to buy some?

Got some big sticky numbers from the inside market to put on the bin lid. Not that it will really help much if it gets pinched. They are 99p per number, look quite decent when they are on.

Just thought I'd share that :D

Sticky numbers will peel off- better use white gloss paint (I did)
I am thinking of adding 'this bin is not red'

Does that mean you will get one with the new Council logo on instead of the nodding donkey?

I wonder if you will have Accringtons crest on it or Hyndburns?

this thread has just reminded me of one individuals idea of national pride

how proud of their country a person is when they put a huge saint georges cross sticker on their wheelie bin lol

i passed it the other day in accy but cant remember where

mind you the country is in the crapper so its actualy quite appropiate lol

I got told when they first gave you sthe wheelie bins not to put the number of your house on the outside of the bin - put it on the inside of the bin lid. Because of thieves - if on bin day they saw your bin still outside with the numbers on it then they knew which one no one was in - and could break in. If you put it on the inside of the bin lid then they would have to lift the bin lid to see.

a good idea in theory but that means on bin day everyones gunna have to open the bins to find their own. theres alot of houses on my street so could take a while lol

thieves will just open the lids anyway so what difference would it make?
