Has this idiot thought about how ordinary working class people from the North West would be able to afford housing in London and it's surrounding areas? As a southerner myself i often keep an eye on the price of houses down there, there is no earthly chance i could ever afford to move back South, not that i want to, as a house that could cost £80,000 here would cost well over £150,000 there. How many North Westeners could afford that, in fact that would probably be for a one bedroom flat if you were lucky.

i have lived north, midlands, and south, though a lancastrian by birth, its not just about district/area its about people n that muppet on the news was certainly not a northerner,wonder HOW much money this right wing clown was paid fer producing this masterpiece of stupidity?:rolleyes:

Nah! This is a clever ruse to depopulate the country.

Half the northern population moves down south, then when global warming hits with a vengeance, most of the south of England is claimed by the sea and drowns all the people, the survivors will have room up north to go to.

The trouble is Londoners, in particular, often "discover" places like the Ribble Valley, the Yorkshire Dales and coastal Northumberland, among others, and they start to invade us. :eek:
