I read that too Jack - she did say that Manchester had made the effort to avoid the decline and that Liverpool hadn't. So she was't condeming us all.

liverpool still go on about the beatles - its all u ever hear from the scousers when they're trying to promote the city.

thats like the mancs goin on about the busby babes or in 20 yrs time oasis. scousers do have a certain mentality that look how great our city was back when they were around - the same way liverpool fc supporters go on about 5 times and dont look at their premiership record.

alot of cities up north have lost their meaning to exist - the reason they were built up in the first place eg shipbuilding. just as alot of towns like accy have
