I feel the guilty ones not all i may add should reflect on their behaviour and the way they conduct themselves. Shame on them.

Spot on...but dont dare say anything to challenge them, they refer to past threads and try to make you look like an idiot....and what is more disturbing, the tribe chip in with statements like 'Who is this Prat'.
Less chips in now and again requesting me to go away.
I take that as banter knowing that he is a prat anyway:D

(I do so hate that there is no spell checker on Internet Explorer - reminder to myself to use Safari instead).

Well sorry I digressed but back to the sublect of my post - My member's allowances for 2008 to 2009 also include £20.83 per month (which is £250 per year), which is an allowance for not having a Hyndburn Council laptop and printer but using my own PC, laptop and printer. I also pay my own broadband subscription and for all the ink cartridges and paper for my home printer. There are a several councillors from all parties who use their own PC etc and some who have a laptop and printer provided by HBC.

Ohhhhhh should we all stand up and applaud? My god, if its you breaking out the biscuits as well, the good members of the public should be scattering rose petals at your feet whilst you walk....

Or maybe you're just doing what countless other people do within their job role without feeling the need to broadcast it ona public forum.

When you have workers in the private sector not only working from home at their own expense (without claiming it back under expenses), hell, even our troops had to provide their own mosquito nets and decent boots for tours, your £20 odd means diddly squat to me. Especially seeing as I'm paying for it.

For someone like myself that doesnt particularly do politics, isnt a die hard supporter of either party, but open to suggestions when voting time comes along, the attitude and manners of the local labour councillors do nothing to sway me in their favour.

My child of 4 has better manners and social skills. Maybe if you remembered that potential voters are reading your posts, it would encourage you to act with a tad more dignity than i've seen previously

In the post regarding my getting an allowance for using my own PC etc I wasn't implying that I was doing anything 'virtuous' by not using an HBC laptop. As I said there are several members from Labour, Tory and Independant who also use their own PC, just didn't want Andrew to come back at a later date and I had not told people on here about it and was somehow trying to deceive people.

Maybe you should also ask the Tory members of HBC to act with more dignity as well.

And Councillors ought to be involved in that. After all we as Councillors make dicisions that effect peoples lives in Hyndburn.

:D,, are you sure... issues discussed in a civilized way?... if you think this thread is civilized then I hate to think what you lot get up to at your council "debates".. I image a chimpanzee tea party!

A person of this stature should be appreciated for his stance on local Politics in terms of his empathy and understanding towards the residents of Hyndburn. From one who is familiar with local Politics!

seems to prefer females defending him our andrew.:D

Nobody needs to post anything for you to look an idiot, you prove that all by yourself.

Take a look through any thread you contaminate, it's you more than most that dribbles down the chin of concious thought!

Forum Rules

1: Interesting, informative, serious topics to be put in appropriate sections, where ever the poster sees fit.

2: All jokes, funny or silly topics to be kept to the Anything Goes section.

3: Serious threads to be kept that way, with the risk of any silly comments added being deleted.

4: Anything Goes section to be removed from the top 50/20/10 posts/ threads lists. Anyone who wants to find these topics can do so. This leaves the said lists for informative and important topics, so they can be easily accessed.

5: No “adult” jokes or unsuitable links to be left anywhere on the forum. exept in the 18s section.

6: No unnecessary swear words. What is considered a swear word can be a matter of personal opinion, but they risk deletion on being reported.

7: As stated, there will be no “Top 5 Posters” list.
It has been pointed out that in some cases there is the possibility that people appear to be making postings just to raise their scores.

8: No personal names, addresses & phone numbers to be left on the forum, unless with consent of the person concerned.-------------------- check rule 8 i think he does need to defend himself, i fail to see how posting someones phone number is acceptable.:(

There are exceptions to every rule. But I still believe there is no reason, no matter how emotive the subject, why that subject can't be debated in a civilized way.

Never mind accepting apologies, how about apologising yourself.

If I win selection in Accy South I intend to fill it up with 10 Tory sponsors, so sick of you they are. My agent is a Thatcherite, my sponsor an ex Tory Councillor.

This is not blue v red. It's about making sure people like you never represent us.

It's obvious someone isn't brave enough to post any Labour 'lies'.

Come on andrewb, put your money where your mouth is.

We're waiting....
