This Karol used to be quite well known in her homeland, before moving to Countdown, to take charge of the letters.

The right decision was made. The report will explain some of that. All in that top end were called out to help by the BBC network at the time in Carlise and surrounding areas. I know of stories of true heroism.

But consider.

If this man had died of cancer in prison, he would be a martyr. Giovanni de Stefano is and was his lawyer in Rome. Now that the costs of palliative care are in his own country the right decision was made. He cannot be a martyr that went home in a box. That is why I think that his care in terminal illness is best done in the country of his birth.

Ask the relatives of those who lost their lives if it was the right decision, the sickening sites of him being given an hero's welcome were sickening to watch. in his case life should definitely have been life end off:mad:

Let's be clear on this,The man was a convicted mass murderer and although Gordon Brown always denied putting pressure on the Scottish Parliament to free him what has come to light is that the British Government tutored the Lybians in ways of "getting round" the Scottish authorities.

(This Week BBC 1) 10/2/11 available still on BBCi about 25 min's in.

So I'm in agreement with WH that it was all about money.
