It's taken about forty years to get things this bad . When is some one going to start turning the boat around and get back to something like normal like it was in the fifties.

This started the minute the dogooding brigade thought it was a good idea to stop corporal punishment in schools. We had nothing like this in the fifties and sixties as you say acertun, but the minute that kids were given the right to run amok in class with nothing and teacher could do about it, was the beginning of the end and I'm afraid it will never be turned back

I think it is people having that attitude that will prevent things turning around.

Well can you ever see us going back to disciplining kids in schools, or letting the police do their jobs, or even letting parents give theirs kids a clip round the ear without ending up in court, maybe if the Guardian went bust we could stand a chance:rolleyes:

A lot of the kids seem to have no respect or fear of the law . I know that some will say its cruel and unusual punishment but things seemed a lot better when we had the cat and the death penalty. There was also conscription. That brought a lot of people back into line.

:D... maybe I'm out of line here, but this has jumped from teachers being able to punish schoolboys to the death penalty.... seems a bit over the top for kids who "get out of hand" :).. conscription may have brought people back into line but didn't do much for with the Kray twins...:D

It did very well for the millions of other conscripts though.

With the new "Equality act" coming into force today, is it really going to be a help or more of a hindrance ?

Looks like there could be light at the end of the tunnel of stupidty. Let's hope more of these feral youths, scumbags, call them what you may, appear before Judge Gareth Hawkesworth.
