What are your views on the newly-elected leader of the Council?

if i started i wouldnt be able to stop and the internet would run out ink and thats before i even broached the subject of special little friends :(

I don't know anything about Peter Britcliffe, I must do a bit of Googling and get myself up to date. I remember my dad muttering his name a few times but why I don't know

I'm reluctant to be too scathing about Malcolm as he was the first non-Labour councillor to offer me a friendly word but I suspect the residents of Milnshaw will be pretty hacked off when news filters through of his voting tactics today.

I told mi mum who had friends round all of who voted for him thinking he was anti tory so word will travel fast, theres nowt as reliable as a womans gob to get things rolling lol :D

you know somthing i recall reading somewhere on here that the tory councilors were forbidden to come on to accyweb by their leader and in all fairness i thought what a load of nonsence but lets face it we have labour councilors on here and even a labour local mp on here answering questions and even facing up to criticism but where are the tory councilors infact thinking about it even one of the indipendants is no longer visiting us openly so i assume he is now following the same orders or for a better way of putting it dancing to a new tune

what kind of fear would it take to impliment to keep the whole tory eliment of our council away ?

surely it cant be true that the leader of HBC would forbid his minions not to comment on a website visited by many many of its people.

I think the pressure comes Ken, because Peter knows, even though they managed to win the vote at the AGM, he realises that the days of the Tories running this Council are coming to an end.

He knows he can no longer rely on the cheap votes they get from an unpopular Government to keep them in control.

The Leader himself has made three posts on here, and Cllr. Addison's a member too.

Though I don't think she's quiet got to grips with AW, as I sent her a nice pm, saying who I was, and congratulating her on her victory, and she didn't know how to send a reply of thanks.

So there are two Tory councillors who are Accy Web members...that we know of, and perhaps one or two that just pop in here to have a little read.

Yes.

He's online at this very minute, and reading this thread.

Perhaps he might post a few words of thanks, for all the good wishes he's received.
